Cornell Equine is the cornerstone for all equine-related activities at Cornell University.
Our Vision
Cornell Equine is a university-wide collaboration, with its home at the College of Veterinary Medicine and strong links to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) and Cornell University Athletics. Established in 2024, Cornell Equine builds on a legacy of innovative scientific research, outstanding clinical care and education, comprehensive equine facilities, and an unmatched track record for producing leaders in the equine health industry.
Cornell Equine has three primary goals:
- To develop new communication platforms to engage our external partners and promote the expansion of multidisciplinary teams
- To develop new programs and training opportunities that support equine-oriented students across the full lifespan of their careers making it desirable to pursue and remain in equine-focused fields.
- To identify novel mechanisms to tackle the most pressing health issues of horses through engagement of multidisciplinary teams and our partners.

We will be compassionate listeners that campaign for enhancing quality of life and safety of all equids, across breeds and activities.
